Typically the one I have had with Origina games is some sort of hiccup with communication between it and Steam.
In which case, you can close Origin and make sure it's not running in the background at all (check Task Manager). When you've done that, open Origin on it's own without touching Steam.
Sign in anew, and if there's any updates or anything, let it do it's thing. Once it's signed in, then you can try launching your game through steam.
If that doesn't work check your antivirus or security software to make sure nothing blocking Origin or steam related.
If it still fails you can always try uninstalling Origin and reinstalling, do the login thing above and go from there.
