Is it possible to reset steam achievements?

In some games I have restarted and would like to re do the achievements.

No, there is no legitimate way to reset your achievements for any game. Some games like Team Fortress 2 have an option to reset individual stats on each class but achievements are forever.

steam achievement manager allows this i have done achievements like 6 times on black ops 1 with this method

It's possible to reset achievements by asking devs to create an option that can remove them. If a game hasn't a said option, there's no way you can but to use SAM or complain to the devs, or live with completed achievements.

TF2 actually do have a reset option in the achievement menu you can do.

Yes and no generally speaking.

Some games have the facility to reset achievements in game, like TF2 mentioned above. But they are rather rare.

Using SAM to reset achievements is NOT recommended for the simple reason it erases your record of unlocking them but often doesn't reset the variables behind them meaning you might not be able to unlock those achievements ever again.

It really is a case by case basis, and it's a mixed bag.

If memory serves, it was always under the achivements men. There used to be a option. Perhaps you're overlooking it.
