If you have access to the account
Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.
Once you are sure you have regained control, you can start trading again. Please triple check any trades you make to be sure they are going to the correct account.
After you have secured the account, please edit your profile back to normal (if it was altered by the hijacker/scammer)
Steam support does not post messages on your profile, they do not change the profile name or avatar, they don't give out warnings about pending bans, they dont give time to move stuff, they wont tell you to move stuff. Someone has enough access to the account to make changes to the profile. If you try to move any items, the trade will get cancelled and a new one created sending the items to the scammers accounts.
If you have lost access to the account

Here is a guide that another Steam user was kind enough to make. It will help you navigate your way thru the recovery process if you are having any problems.

report all accounts involved. steam accounts are reported thru their profile, discord accounts are reported to discord.
The only way an account will ever be deleted is at the user's request. The process requires the verification of the user's ownership of the account and takes 30 days after verification. The user can stop the deletion with in those 30 days.
So no, your account is not deleted, nor would anyone at Valve delete the account with out your request to do so.
What is it with people thinking "oh yeah, being contacted on a thrid-party website that Valve has no control over ist totally legit, let me give away all of my credentials!"
Steam was specifically designed to provide support and communication with Valve. Discord wasn't. FFS.
You compromised your account.
Do this:
Moderators will NEVER delete your account, its a well known scam. Please follow the instructions you were told to recover your account
Doesn't matter in the slightest. If this happened on Discord anybody can link you to any profile they wish and claim it's theirs. And anybody create a private steam group.
Again, you either gave away your login credentials or your machine is compromised.
Moderators will NOT delete your account under ANY circumstances. You asked for help, we are trying to help. You did something and got compromised. They link you to an actual moderators account.
Again its a CLASSIC scam that happens ALL THE TIME.
A moderator will NEVER message you about account issues, you will receive an alert thru the steam client. So stop being stubborn, listen to what everyone is telling you, or just give up on ever getting your account back
