GTA5: No TXAA without MSAA turned on, why?

Hello all.

In the GTA5 graphics settings I've noticed you cannot enable TXAA without enabling MSAA first. Other games aren't like this! TXAA is far superior to MSAA in terms of performance. Is there a way to force TXAA on without enabling MSAA? MSAA is very taxing on the GPU however TXAA isn't, much like FXAA.

TXAA is an NVIDIA technology and they do a great job inventing new AA techniques without using MSAA. Take DLSS on a GeForce RTX card for instance, that delivers MSAA x64-like AA without any performance hit, now thats truly impressive!

So like I said is there a way to enable TXAA without turning on MSAA?

Not knowing about the engine in GTA V it could just be how they chose to implement those AA options. Or how they chose to represent it on the UI. IE an options for txaa and msaa in a drop down can still be the same as how GTAV displays the options, the reality is just obsfucated from you, the user, who assumes they're entirely different.
