Can't log in to my account in Steam Client
I tried to clear my download cache to make the steam download a bit faster and when I tried to log in to my account, it just said,

"ERROR
Something went wrong while attempting to sign you in. Please try again later."

It only happens to my account and mine only since when I tried to log in to my other steam account it is fine but when I try to log in to my main account it just shows that message and won't let me into my own account in Steam Client.

I can't play any steam game whatsoever so I would REALLY appreciate any help I can get.

Did you also try not logging in through the new login window? (I'm just wondering if it has to do with the reactjs login window)
--right click the shortcut for Steam, and edit the target line. Add after steam.exe -noreactlogin, then hit okay.
This will cause the old login window to pop up.

Steam support can be contained from the website.

(I'll have to CC this thread I guess https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/3392923906950242496/ )

So e84 stands for "Error Code 84"
Steam Code 84 stands for "RateLimitExceeded"

The RateLimit talks about a temporary rate limit.
This code is basically the same as HTTP Status code 429
https://www.webfx.com/web-development/glossary/http-status-codes/what-is-a-429-status-code/

Steam basically temporary blocked access because it noticed too many attempts in a short time or for whatever reason.
It also means 'try again later'.

That said, 2 days is weird.
but considering you changed passwords.... its likely the rate limit is made very strict for security reasons. Try again after doing nothing for a while I guess.

They sure pissed off alot of customers by doing this, idk how long they is going on for. It was doing fine before all this, my question is why bother with it, i mean with all this changes?

Many people heard of this comment "If aint broke, no need trying to fix it!".

Yup had this too. Steam worked this morning no issues, came back after going out and same issue. 25-30 mins gaming time wasted

I had the same issue on my phone

Steam did go town about about an hour ago or so, people on reddit complaining about the same issue

Contact and report this to Official Steam Support so they can add it to the pile of things they have to fix in the new UI disaster. Follow these instructions and use the old UI.

i did this and it worked, adjust date and time > set time automatically on (if yours is already on, turn it off then turn it on again)
proceed to try again and log into your steam account
istg this company is so bad

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
