New steam login
So when I login, I enter my guard code and then it brings me back to a login screen with no info then signs me in, i saw someone on reddit worried that they are sending their acc details to someone, is this true, or is it just bugged? ALSO IN COMPUTER NAMES, A DUPLICATE OF MY COMPUTER SHOWED UP

This is the new login, yes. A bit wonky seeing the login window after logging into the account before it loads the client.

:qr:
So its the same for you? Why they gotta break everything man
I've been in the beta since August 24th. It was reported but they decided to ship it anyways.

So to clarify, the login does the same thing right? Im a little worried :/ Even the login history coming up with the OS types as -1 as well as 16 and a dupe of my pc name showed up on computer names wth

Same exact thing.

That is also expected.

If someone wants to steal your data, they wont display the login window twice so you get worried and think someone steals your details.
Alright, thank you both for the replies,

I just saw someone on reddit, so it got me thinking, i doubt logging into the steam client will give my data away
-1 is likely browser, 16 is client. Or something like that.

umm..it is kinda late for that..signing the TOS for steam basically allows them to give your info out. Did you even read the TOS? Apparently, since your logging into steam, you have a steam account, so you already agreed to giving your info out. Funny how people do not read the TOS about stuff like this, and think logging into steam there worried about info leaking, when it is done already since you own steam on your pc..
Yeah, I figured something like this would happen with computer names when I saw the extra -1 on the login history. Steam loves messing with things don't they?

-1 is unknown and 16 is client
