Discord mic/sound Issue
Might not be the correct place but i've stated this problem on the discord Forums before but to no avail sadly,

maybe someone here on steam knows more about it

Im having this issue where every bit of sound made on my computer may it be the Discord ping, youtube, in-game or anything else, my mic will pick up the sound and emit it back through discord.

now some might ask if i've tried it through other communication software and yes i have, Discord is the only platform that i am having issues with, Before it would also happen when i even mute my mic but i recently discord when i put the sound options on "Legacy" it doesn't do that.

So summary, i watch a youtube video. if the sound reaches my dB cap that i set they will hear the full sentence/music/whatever i am watching. 1 thing i've noticed. my Sound will be boosted through discord whenever i up my mic Amp in windows.

Ofcourse if i lower it, people will have a hard time hearing me for some odd reason but even if i leave it at 0% they can still hear my Computer sound.

Has anyone have this particular issue or knows a workaround to change this specifically? it has been bugging me for a while cause i can't put games at certain volumes because either 1 i can't hear enemies or 2 people will hear every little bit of thing happening on my end.

Bit of info,

Realtek hd audio driver is installed. newest version, has been reinstalled multiple times.

I've used 2 different headsets, Steelseries siberia v3, now the Arctis 3, both pickup this issue. they are both 3.5mm jacks. tested in both front and back audio ports.

Stereo mixer is deactivated and muted just to be sure of that looping/leaking any sound
oh and also noticed my sound is being picked up again even if i mute my mic on my headset

All help/tips/tricks/work-arounds will be appreciated

Check Discord's audio input setting, and any settings on programs that mess with audio. Your computer audios sounds like it's being fed through to Discord's audio input.
Everything is standard in the settings of discord. the only thing i changed before was my equalizer in windows to get a more "beefy" sound but even having those on default doesnt change anything.
Thanks silicon but as stated at the beginning of the post i already tried and didnt get any reaction by them. checking the rest of the forum didnt lead to any clues
