No. When it comes to mod usage, the developers have stated to use your common sense. This means any game-altering (ie. cheaty mods) should either be played offline, or in private lobbies. Granted there are a bunch of community accepted 'game-altering' mods like Crackdown, FSS, Iter, etc. that gnerally accepted in public lobbies, but in those cases make sure that they are displayed (ie. not hacked to be hidden).

Way back in the olden days, the developers felt that crosshair mods ruined the cinematic experience of Payday 2, and felt that players should either use optics (scopes) or laser gadgets to aim assist. This is really no longer the case, since Payday 2 has long since been a heist simulator.

So no don't worry. Play. Mod. Heist. Just overall have fun.
