H1Z1 Refund

Anyone know a way to get a refund on this? I thought the policy was that if a game did not ever launch from early access, you were entitled to a refund, but support just denied me because I played over 2 hours.

They announced in August that they are going to shut down the servers in October.

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to sunset Just Survive on Wednesday, October 24 at 11 a.m. PT. The excitement of the game’s promise was palpable and its loyal community is still full of ideas for its future. Unfortunately, we are no longer in a position to fulfill its greatness and the current population of the game makes it untenable to maintain.

Just Survive was part of our first Early Access project, and we learned a great deal during its development. As with any open world game, the greatest stories came from our passionate players. From the incredibly skilled base builders to the free-ranging gangs, and all of the players named variations of “ImFriendly” and “PleaseDontShootMe”, we hope everyone had amazing adventures across Pleasant Valley and Badwater Canyon.

Thank you for taking the time to play the game, to help test it when we opened the Test servers to the public, and for all of the suggestions and feedback throughout Early Access. We truly appreciate everyone’s commitment and your contributions throughout the development process. Our promise is to do better and learn from every experience along the way.

refund policy is 2 hours play time and less then 2 weeks since purchase. if you go over, you do not get a refund. Early access games do not get any special refund policy. If the game developer decides to authorize refunds, then steam will refund it.

I don't think they follow that policy if one exists mate. Many games made on here cheated the player community besides this one such as Beast Of Prey which never made it out of Alpha and no one was ever refunded their money that I know of.

He is referring to the OP's claim that Valve will refund EA games that don't get finished.

And such a policy does not exist.


OP,

EAGs (Early Access Games) fall under the standard refund policy, so you need less then two hours of game play and to be with in two weeks of the purchase.

They are not considered a pre-order and the clock does not reset upon release (as some have thought before as well).

I don't think it's implimented then. I never bought it myself because it was taken down right before I was about to buy it, but I know alot of people who bought Beasts Of Prey were complaining about not getting refunds. I think The Stomping Land was another one if I recall. I've seen afew on here some how get by without having to refund players. Friday The 13th. is fixing to be another one if they close down. It's not technically classed as an Alpha, but there is no way that is a full game. lol It's sad really. I do hope you get refunded though. I had the same experiance with Daybreak back when they were SOE and did the exact same thing to the SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) community. Good luck mate.

It is a risk with EAGs.

Honestly, I just avoid them until full release.

That's the BR only. The full main game is dead. I don't even know why they call it H1Z1 anymore. It's not like they are zombies in the game. They done took them out. lol

I know, right? lol I tell people if you want an apocalypse version of the Hunger games I'd say go for it then. lol Honestly the only Alpha of this style of game I have ever reccomended has been 7 Days To Die. You get SP, MP, and you can play on servers. They also let you roll back so far to like Alpha 9 if I recall and it's in Alpha 16 going on 17 soon now. I still keep going back to that game. lol That's just my preferance though. If ya haven't played it I'd check out some gameplay videos on youtube and see if ya like it mate. They may not always update fast, but when you get the updates you see where all that time and work went.
