Unable to Open Any Games
I am a new user to Steam and recently purchased Slay the Spire. After downloading and trying to run the game, nothing happens. The green Play button changes to a blue Stop button and, after about 3 seconds, it changes back to a green Play button without any input from myself. I attempted to run some free games (such as Path of Exile and Lost Ark) as a test, and I get the same result.

I have gone through several articles and help discussions. I have uninstalled the games, the steam client and reinstalled. I have tried verifying the games. I have fully updated Windows and all drivers, disabled all other apps (antivirus, firewall, etc.) and nothing works. The same thing happens every time. I am out of ideas and I cannot find any kind of chat or phone support for Steam.

Also, any other games run just fine that are not run through Steam.

Yes, I have tried running the game as Administrator and in Compatibility mode. I am running Windows 10, and I am not sure what other specs would be useful (I didn't think there would be any hardware issues as anything ran outside of Steam runs fine) but I will try to post them if anyone could explain which ones would be needed.

Did you look in task manager to see if anything actually launches?
The play button changes when it is basically 'starting up'
and changes back when it is 'shut down completely'

It maybe crashing, I'd recommend checking crash logs (see dumps folder)
and windows event viewer to see if an application crashed and why.
you can also read content_log.txt (logs) to see what happens when you press play.

This is all that is recorded in the content_log.txt when I try to run Slay the Spire:

[2022-05-24 15:40:38] Game 646570 adding PID 1248 as a tracked process
[2022-05-24 15:40:38] AppID 646570 state changed : Fully Installed,App Running,
[2022-05-24 15:40:43] Game 646570 no longer tracking PID 1248

That just shows it checked it, and then stopped tracking it. (it started up and shutted down)

Its likely that windows closed it and not informed you as to why, so I'd say check windows event viewer and look for app crashes.

When I try to get this info, Steam just straight closes.

When I look in the Event Viewer under Windows Logs -> Application, nothing shows up when I try to run a game and nothing happens, nor when Steam closes when I try to get the System Information (and yes, I am running everything as Admin when I try these steps). I am at a loss for what is going on...
