Is CS:GO/Steam slowing down my internet?
My connection is normal, my internet works ok. I have 11 Mbps of Download and 16.6 of Upload, but when i am trying to download something from Steam, the Download in the "download's page " is no more than 2.1 mbps per second,being average in 1.5- 1.8.
In addition, when I enter CS:GO I can't connect to the game servers and my Steam goes "Offline", when I enter a server I get 299 to 600 of ping, then i am kicked out 2 seconds later. Does anyone else suffer this? This is not commom ,its happening for like 3-5 days

NO, I didn't set a download limit in my settings

A common thing to cause this is, that your computer can't handle all of it at once.
Steam downloads do not only transfer data, but unpack and install alongside, putting quite a workload on the hard drive. CPU is another, a bit less likely subject for the problem.

The Counterstrike thing could be related to the issue (maybe you should set a download limit indeed) or may just be the servers being messed up lately.

Internet speed - Mbps. MegaBITS
Steam DEFAULT - MB/s. MegaBYTES.

1.8 x 8 = 14.4
That is an accurate Mbps to MBs reading, so there is no problem, at all.

Your connection isn't normal. Though that is just something that I concluded, but its not because of slowing down.

It might be a bit side tracking to mention, but I haven't heard of asymetrical internet that gives you more upload than download before. Normally people have more download then upload.

11Mbps download (as hinted by the provider)
steam delivering 2.1MBps, means 16.8Mbps, that is quite the difference.
Unless you're certain it was 2.1Mbps
1.8MB = 14.4Mb, again going over the 11Mbps
1.5MB = 12Mb, so still going over.

As to CSGO server issues, it maybe best asked in in the CSGO forums
the cause can be anything.
Steam going offline maybe due to temporarily your system being too busy for it to properly check for an 'online connection'. (it maybe a timeout issue and just temporarily)

but I don't see any pc specs so I assume everything is still within range of the recommendations.

My Steam downloads were always 4-7 Mbps since ever. As i said ,it started recently and i don't think the problem is "my computer can't handle"

Yeah ...there is no problem at all of my Cs:GO disconecting all the time and my Steam download being 5-7 mbs since ever becoming a 1.8 mbs out of nowhere ...yeah no problem at all

Thanks for the help
