i was issued a violation of TOS when my account was barely active, steam support wont keep my help requests open and said in my bio from steam support that i should give my items to a trusted friend and had a time limit to do so??? idk what happened, why my avatar was set to blank, why my name was changed to numbers, and why my bio was reading that violation notice, can anyone explain what happened?

That's a scam. Steam will never tell you to do stuff like that and they will never give you advance warnings.

It happened because you've given a site your login.

You were likely compromised some time ago.

Those items are gone. You sent a trade, the bot that controlled your account for the hijacker canceled it and created a new trade from the fake account, then waited for you to accept through the authenticator or other means.

I suggest:

The first five steps will help secure your account as they may still have access to it.

Your account is COMPROMISED and it does no matter whether you believe you did not give away your account details.

The only way a phisher (scammer) can gain access to your account is because you DID give way your account details.

Follow the instructions in the post above.

The api key is generated by the phisher and allows them to do trades without your knowledge and retain access to your account.

Should you revoke it? YES.

It is a scam. You will never be warned about an incoming punishment and Support would definitely not type something onto your profile let alone advise you to make trades.

You are NOT revoking yourself because you did NOT create it, the phisher (scammer) did.

Do you want them to continue to have access to your account?

Are you going to keep ignoring the advice given to SECURE your account?
VIETNAMFLASHBXCK 11 abr. 2022 às 22:14

The scammer intercepted your trade and diverted it to an account that looked identical to your friends, that completed the scam, it was your items they were after all along, they wanted to scare you into trading your items so they could steal them.

Yes the scammer has them. What really happened is your initial trade was stopped and replaced with a trade going to an account made to look like your friends.
