Steam seems to think I'm using an Xbox controller?

I tried everything to fix this problem and steams still thinks i am using an Xbox controller. Is anyone having the same problem? Please help

This is quite normal.

The simple reason being that whatever OTHER controller you use it will be emulating the Xbox one. So you will get certain games that might give you the same button prompts as an Xbox controller, and as far as Windows goes, it may say that you have an xbox controller connected.

There's nothing you can do about this.

What controller are you using?
When you say Steam thinks you have an Xbox controller, are you talking about what shows up in the Controller Settings screen, in games, someplace else?

If you're talking about button prompts in game, it's due the game. Only a few let you select playstation or xbox button prompts. Most just run xbox prompts by default.
