Refunding pre-order
Hey just a quick question because the valve support is just something else.

I am thinking of pre-ordering F1 22 but i have the technical knowledge of a potato therefore have no idea if i will be able to run it.

If i pre-order it tmrw and get it when its releasing (around july) and then see that i cant play it,can i still refund it?

Yes can issue refund after release.

The 14 days starts on day it release for pre orders, keep in mind to keep it below 2hrs gameplay to qualifying for no question ask refund, otherwise you have to issue a manual ticket instead if outside refund policy.

REFUNDS ON PRE-PURCHASED TITLES
When you pre-purchase a title on Steam (and have paid for the title in advance), you can request a refund at any time prior to release of that title. The standard 14-day/two-hour refund period also applies, starting on the game’s release date.

Or just buy it in July? It's not like they've got limited copies to sell.
Why pre-order anything? As stated it's not like they're going to run out of digital copies.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Just to add:
If you received anything for the pre-order and it was consumed, then they may refuse to issue a refund.

For example, if they gave you another game and you played it for two hours or more, then that two hours would count for the refund time.

If you got something like in-game currency or an item that can be traded with other or put on the Market (and you do so) then that may make the person ineligible for a refund.

These are not likely to apply since most purchases don't contain them, but I felt it best be thorough, just in case.

You mean "may not issue" or "may refuse" a refund

What is your hardware?

CPU: Intel Xeon W3530
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
RAM: 12GB
Not sure how the cpu is with games, and if it has all abilities needed for the game,
but the most you could expect is probably reaching the minimum requirements with your computer.

So its not possible to tell how the game will be for you.

Better ask in the forum of the game before buying.

MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 64-bit (Version 1909)
Processor: Intel Core i3-2130 or AMD FX 4300
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti or AMD RX 470 | For Ray Tracing: GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6700 XT
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 80 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Your gpu meets minimum and your cpu is equal to a I5 2500 it should run but wouldn't expect good fps.

Did Valve finally fix that stupid issue where if you pre-order a game more than two weeks ago, but try to refund the game within two weeks of release, the refund would be rejected for having owned it for more than two weeks?

That's why you choose "I have a question about this purchase" and ask for the refund that way in case the system auto-denies you.
