Delete Avatars?

Good lord the devs for steam must be slow or something! LOL Did they actually remove the option to delete your custom uploaded avatars?? So now useless unused avatars just pile up in their servers for no reason what so ever?! Wow! I mean sure its not really a big deal for users but seriously... they must hire any twit off the street or something! LMAO. Why would they even remove the delete feature?!

Not for custom avatars. You can upload a new one, but the old one remains with no option to delete it.

if you completely wipe steam off your pc the avatars will be gone I switched OS recently and all the previous avatars I have uploaded are gone

Nope, they're still there for me.

Just over a year ago I rejoined Steam after I'd retired and got rid of all my PCs. I didn't bother returning until I could be bothered.

So I spent a few years away.

Lo and behold when I came back all the previous custome avatars (including the one I'm using right at this moment) were still there.

There used to be a delete option right below the avatar, but steam devs, and their infinite wisdom decided it was a good idea to get rid of it I guess! Pretty stupid if you ask me!

So currently still having issues with my avatar displayed to me as a broken image, but other seem to see it fine. Whats going on with this? I uploaded a new avatar in an attempt to delete the broken one, but ofcourse steam devs took out the delete option so now I'm stuck with 1 broken, and one not. Are they gonna fix the broken one, and will I ever be able to delete them myself, or does steam devs just love useless clutter?

The broken avatars is a server issue. While it doesn't break for some people, others still can see it just fine.

Ya it appear to be just me who sees it as broken! Man I wish we could just delete our own! Steam devs, and all their bright moves! LOL.
