Nop,e like any other place or business, transferring back is not an option, as there's strict laws and rules against this as it can lead to money laundering.

Why not just pay with the credit card instead of adding funds to your steam wallet?

Steam wallet is store credit. It is not money. You can not cash out store credit anywhere.

Steam isn't a bank. Any funds you put into Steam wallet is turn into credits that all there is to it.

For future reference if wish to pay for things exactly, use a credit card, or bank transfer payment option only, instead of loading Steam wallet.

Actually, it's also a business thing. Steam isn't a bank -- you give them money, they want to keep it.

Oh never said it wasn't.

I was more hanging on the point that even if there were a good reason for businesses to want to do it, many won't simply becuase the absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this entails is worse.

Yeah you're likely not clicking on the right thing.

At the final ready to pay screen, you will see the part where it says "choose payment option" or whatever and you can choose how to split your payemtn. If you click on those words themselves, makred in blue, then you can change.
