most likely all steam games can be played on tablet now with remote play!

But with streaming, you can. So you will need a PC in the middle to stream FROM.

Box86 supports Steam so there's the theoretical possibility to install Linux on your tablet (well, that's actually practical) and run Steam games via Box86. I can't quite assess how much of a PITA that would end up being to set up.

As others have said, in theory yes, if you are tech savvy enough it is certainly possible.

But the games Steam sells are PC games, not android games, you can't just download them and play them on a smartphone the same way you could with Angry Birds from whatever app store your phone/tablet uses.
