Steam games crashing after a few minutes
All of my games on steam crash after just a few minutes of running.

Just a couple examples: when I try to run destiny 2 i get error code marmot and it crashes after a minute or two.
When I try to run splitgate and it says "Error 'Failed to load package '/Game/Maps/MainMenu" , Exiting"
I have had this issue in the past but I cannot remember what I did to fix it before.

I have tried the following already:
-Uninstall and reinstall the game
-Run Steam in compatibility mode
-Update Drivers
-Verify the integrity of the game files

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Basics first:

Are you having any issues with single player games?

Do you have any non Steam games you can try and launch to see if those are playable?

Full Specs might be a good idea as well. Steam Client -> Help -> System Information -> copy and paste result here.

First things to often try.

Check your antivirus suite to see if any game relate or steam related files are being quarantined. If they are, make excpetiosn for them.

If it still persists start windows in safe mode and run Steam and your game. Note this isn't perfect as there may be issues loading graphics and so on, but it can give you a heads up.

If it goes further than before, then it can idnicate that the issue is some software on your system blocking this and then it's down to finding what.

So I tried the antivirus and safe mode, and neither of those worked. How would i figure out which software system is causing me issues?

Well if neither worked it ain't the software - that's the point. It's likely something else.

YOu did get the SAME result under each of those?

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
