Unable to redeem Gift card codes.

I need help in redeeming a gift card. Its likely due to where I live. I've been trying to redeem a code but I'm unable saying there was an error validating my wallet. I'm also unable to add a credit card since if I try to it redirects me to "OOPS, SORRY. An error was encountered while processing your request:" page. Any help would be appreciated.

The code is working since I have a family member who lives in the US and bought it from her local Walmart. I also tried using my Laptop which gives me the same error page.

Are you in the US? Note, gift cards now only work if your currency matches that of the gift card.

No, I'm not. There are stores here who sell Steam Gift cards (and are often not sold for weeks until a new shipment arrives since they run out quickly) valued in american dollars but are overpriced. That's why I had a relative buy it for me since it was way cheaper.

You can only redeem Steam Wallet Codes from your region.

Yup sadly if it ain't for your region and currency then you can't do this anymore

Since last year you can only activate cards that are in the same currency as your store region.
