Report a translation problem
In the no sound games I have to switch the audio output from 5.1 to stereo to get the sound back.

Because of this, it will sometimes screw around with the sound output and get confused. I believe it's largely a Windows 8 or 10 issue.
What I do to fix it is simply this - go into Windows settings. Choose the sound options, and bring up all you sound devices. Disable ALL of them completey except the one you want to use. This should fix it.
