Steam game properties "NOT" loading

I tried load it several times today, Not sure what causing this. I assume it was human error, but I don't think so. I going try one more time. See if its error on my computer having issue. But I kind have no idea why this happening. It happens to all of my games. Properties window fail load.

I trying load up Edge eternity game verify files because it kept installing script that already installed. Which when I did online installed 4 script files total, and offline 2. It does this all time when I try play the game. Which why I tried load up properties window to verify files what was missing stop install files each time.

I try restart of steam, and windows restart if that doesn't help it. Who knows what really occurred.


If anyone knows what happen please impart some knowledge, thank you for any feedback.

Games on USB?
USB must be connected prior and loaded before to starting Steam.
Steam must exited then add USB wait till it loads then Start log in to Steam.

To ensure that you do not encounter this issue, always allow Steam to close properly when shutting down your computer. Allowing Windows to force Steam to close when it is writing to a hard drive may cause Steam library and installation information to become corrupted.

You mean a games properties page.. an invisible box with just lines round it?

That's what i ended up with a couple of days ago.
I changed the hardware acceleration stuff in the Steam Clients Settings page and restarted steam and it appeared again,
Everything was inside the invisible box outline, just invisible :) i could even click the invisible close button through muscle memory.

Edit: just saying: It has nothing to do with your hardware or what you did on your computer, OP

enabling GPU Accelerated Web Rendering setting (in Steam Settings) will let you interact with the Properties Window and with Steam Friends.

enabling gpu accelerated web rendering can cause other issues though. e.e;
I mean I disabled it because it caused memory leaks and processing issues. (gpu was constantly in use basically)

The steam client isn't exactly optimally programmed, and its largely due to bad javascript coding and chromium embedded framework, which generally.... is disappointware.

I mean for example, it contains the chromium browser (and its libraries), and so it includes google tracking and stuff like that that many apps made with it do not need. All they need the browser for is the JIT compiler, because it lets them make javascript based apps.

Those windows are like you now expect browser windows, just rendering as something unusual. These browser windows are broken due to javascript coding fails and javascript abuse.
