Xbox controller triggers are messed up across all Steam games
Bought new Xnox One wireless controller today instead of the old 360 one. Immediately after plugging it noticed that triggers don't work properly in any Steam game I had installed: after first input with any trigger axis Z appears to be stuck somewhere in the middle, consecutive trigger presses only creates more bugs. Issue persists with wired or wireless connection, non-steam games are working fine.

Temporary fix which was suggested here in Help and Tips is to disable "Xbox Extended Feature Support" in Steam controller settings, but this is also disables features like screenshot button, so any other solutions?

Wait for Valve to fix it.

Yeah sadly this does seem to be an issue affecting some people (thankfully not me yet).

All you can do is do that thing to disable screenshots too.

However a workaround is possible. If you use Nvidia's utility you can run that and use that program's facility to screenshot.

Have you tried disabling Steam Input yet?
Fixed things up for my older PS4 and XBox One wired controllers. It may or may not fix the issues you are having with your controller, but it's worth a try.
I always disable steam controller settings. Never understood what its for, and then i read about problems.
