How to speed up a download?
I know I’m limited in what I can do, I’m in an area with slow internet.

I’m trying to download a 50gb game. It’s been downloading for 3 hours and it is 4%. At this rate it’s going to take a day and a half to reach 48%.

It started with 70 kb/s then I switched the priority to high and it’s at 165-170kb/s.

Is there anything else like that I can do to speed it up?

If your area has garbage internet, how can anything else help you other than 'get better net'?

Find the right download location, sometimes the 'nearest' one isn't the 'best' one.

Using a download region where its early morning (2-5am) has the best results in my experience. Distance doesn't matter at all for download speed.

Like how I turned steam to high priority. Same internet but double the speed.

So like using a vpn and finding an area with a different timezone because less people are on?

Bring a laptop into town, find a Starbucks and download the game there while sipping a latte. When it's done, just transfer it to your main PC at home.

I made a post like this, does your download speed look like this? (refer to the screenshot in the post)

Not sure if you mean that literally, but no. Do not use a VPN.

Steam downloads has MANY servers around the world.

Go into steam settings, choose downloads and choose the region from there. Again, try NOT to use servers ANYWHERE near you as it ain't online gaming, so ping isn't relevant.

Choose anywhere that is on the other side of the world and preferably in the wee hours of the morning (so people are asleep). You might have to change between a few to find the best.
