Bluetooth PS4 controller just won't connect.

Hello everyone, my PS4 controller won't connect to my steam at all. I've tried everything from restarting steam, checking joy.cpl, resetting my controller, disconnecting from BT, updating drivers, trying ds4 and input mapper, and nothing has worked. My pc recognizes the controller and says it is connected, but it won't work on any game. It used to work a few days ago and worked fine with ds4, but then I uninstalled ds4 to try and fix an issue I was having with a game, then it suddenly didn't connect to steam or anything. If there is a fix to this, please please please put it in the comments. Thank you.

Difficult to say as this often happens with PS4 controlelr users. It's a right apin in the arse.

All you can do is try to reinstall whatever driver/frontend you're using to make the controller work, or look for another one online as there are a few out there.

But be warned, this likely won't stick, as I've also seen the same happen again and again too. SO this can be an ongoing battle.

So if feasible for you, if you want to just save problems going forward, it's an option.

Al that matters really is this - does it feel comfortable for you, can you afford it?

The ability to just plug it in and it will generally get picked up by any game that supports controller is just a massive blessing.
