Steam website doesn't remember computer
Hi,
haven't found a post about this yet. Every time I start my browser and want to buy a game, I have to login again, even though I have the "Remember me on this computer" checked. I have tried disabling all other devices, unshared the library, everything and it still asks for confirmation before purchase. It also keeps login me out of Steam community. Slowly getting sick of this...

You likely have either some security software clearing cookies or some setting on Chrome or whatever browser you use clearing cookies each seesion.

No, no cookie clearing, as it happens only for Steam Web and Steam Community web, regardless of browser. Has been happening for a long time, both on Chrome I used and on Firefox as well. Same with AV software, I have used two different ones and it happens with both. I have AdBlock, JavaScript Blocker and Firefox Enhanced protection turned off for Steam sites.

Nope. I've seen multiple people making threads about this, myself included. I contacted Steam support, too. They couldn't help me.

Someone screwed up with the site's cookies.

If that's the case, I must have missed it. Do you have any evidence of these other cases, just so I can have a nose at them?

No that's absolutely fine. Thank you for that.

I'll have a good read through and bear it mind for the future. Cheers.

Screwed up, or users don't agree with the behavior can be two different things.

Some people want the remember me to set a cookie a million years into the future. If Valve thinks that limit should be 99.99% shorter people are going to have opinions about that and assume it's wrong... but is it?

I'm pretty sure "forums logged out while the store isn't" or the other way around is NOT the way someone sets it to on purpose. Neither is the website supposed to act like one has never been there before when the account was logged in seconds ago.
