Can you see into the logs to find out why battlefield 5 doesn't work?
Also is there something helpful about it on the discussion board of battlefield 5, or are you certain its caused by the Steam Client?
I was looking through the message history, it seems any mention of geforce now was made before it got added to geforce now for access availability.
In other words, I think its new; that it has geforce now support.
Edit: if it doesn't start, it crashes upon launch.
There should be a crash log, but again idk if you can get there... ;sweat;
It might be due to some specific setting in the nvidia driver. (it could be tripple buffering or vsync or whatever). To be honest there are a lot of things it can be, so guessing alone is hard.
(edit: on this board I mean)
