Why do some games not have controller support even though the same game is on console.
Theres many games I play on console and PC. The console version (obviously) supports a controller so if its the same exact game why not let us use it one there to. Also I feel as more games need to support controllers. Some games that have to many things to use buttons for like ATS have controller support still and you have to sometimes use a button on the keyboard or mouse which makes the game easier and more fun to play in my opinion. I just really wished more games would support controllers so that I could just launch the game and use it without having to use the steam controller config thing.

Simple - because they are developed separately.

They may look exactly the same but a port is a port. Publishers will typically decide to spend money down to cost - keeping only functions that are widely used.

It's less common nowadays though.

BUt WHICH games are you talking about? You can literally get any plugin to mimc keyboard entries on controller - they are out there (like Joy2Key).

But if you're talking games that need a lot of button inputs it's going to be difficult, which goes some way to explain why those types of games aren't developed with controller in mind.

You don't create a PC version and magically it works the same way as a console version.
