Installing Elden Ring cause BSOD

I have this problem which is bothering me a lot, when I want to install Elden Ring or Previously Lost Ark Steam throws me BSOD when the download is 80% past the truth I don't know what to do, I have Windows 10 Updated, All Drivers updated


please someone who can help me

Run both a "/sfc scannow" and "DISM ScanHealth" scans in Command Prompt as the administrator and then get back to us.

BSOD is a driver issue, ask Brand board support or Brand pc name support , start update driver and BIOS, dont forget GPU Drivers run then in administrator mode.

nothing wrong with bee advice, still require Driver actual works, problem with that is MS dont make your Drivers that still your Brand that do that and then give them to MS, in other words MS give a ratt butt and not there job to test they work at all just that they dont crash system, holy crap aient that the problem here. ( thats why its Brand support issue in the first place, do note other Overclocking and other harmfull things can do this. ) but still sounds like your pc aient update and maintained as it should.

just to be clear system spec so we know you have game requirements, point is what if pc try run it and it dont has it , aka even balance mode on laptop has seen in the past cause odd issue, use full performance then it barely can run it, there are those rare moments that something trigger that.
balance mode simple is not enough.

again with no spec its ends there ask game forum or board support or brand name pc support.

Cant even install it cuz BSOD Pop up at 80% Download....

also dont forget the replug usb unit , ( it seen before controller like game pads cause issue ) and its always then all other things is tried such things comes up like printer and other device not need is unplugged and test for what if its that. )

and sense steam have change and update its insteam controll client , still jour Brand controller job to work better with steam.
because apox last year several steam user had usb issue and its hard to ID

i only mention this, what if you have external usb unit added, again its driver to the usb controll and unit own software and drivers.

Generally speaking, BSODs are indicative of hardware issues.

Extremely doubtful it's any software especially steam.

So all you should start with is trying to find out what hardware is causing this. Obviously the first comments about doing some intensive disc scans (like using CrystalMark) is going to be wise first off.

And do note using such to do a proper disc scan is something that will likely take some time so bear that in mind.

Once you've done that and if it comes back with nothing awry then let us know.

You haven't gone through all the recommendations Iceira has made.

1 - Provide us with your system specifications. We can be more helpful if we know what you're working with. Which CPU? How much RAM and what kind/speed? Which GPU? Which OS? Motherboard? PSU?

2 - Download and install your motherboard chipset drivers. Do a clean install of the newest GPU drivers. The ones Windows installs by default are outdated and basic.

3 - Try doing a memory check. Run "Windows Memory Diagnostic". If that passes, download and run Passmark memtest86.[www.memtest86.com] That one is more thorough and can take a few hours. If you get errors, there's no point in continuing testing. Your RAM is no good, and you've probably found the culprit of your crashes. Also make sure you're running the RAM at the right speed. Enable the XMP profile. If that doesn't work, try underclocking the RAM, or running it at the speed recommended for your CPU.

4 - Have you tried installing on a different drive?

Could it be hes antivirus security app or heat that crash pc then its on apox 80% install or disk full or temp or not free room at system with virtual mem write on disk.

thats know as lack of free space, but i still think that a job for Brand support BSOD should not happend there. unless system run out of resources, and again should not happend.

ok just running my Pc on Secure Mode with Networking , Finished Download , it says the Files are Corrupted , so It was Elden Ring who is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me up with out playing.... so i start a fresh Download.

no thats your security app that might have block it , fat chance that game devs made a total corupted files system cant write, and hence you did safe mode , that same as bypass security app, most dont get loaded in that mode.

clear Download cache and then verify game intergrity of files is the only option you have to make sure its a 100& match with game devs update or change , but sense this is a new install then it wont fit that , and we are back at own security app at your pc( antivirus app can cause this but its so rare they block and crash a system BSOD ) i could say it was caught in a option and missing code with what to do , thats that security apps issue and not your fault.

keep in mind some of us have work with alot of security app over years 30+ and we cant live with them and without them. and then you have work with such you will test and never trust 100% that they know what they are doing, could say work with something everyday , then you will see such way more then casual player.

well , i can play Elden Ring now , the problem , A corrupted file Downloaded everytime i was trying to download a free start , on Secure mode does not happen.
