My account was hijacked today and the intruders sold all my cs:go skins then bought dota items
Why does steam support not have an option where I can report that my items have been sold?
And the closest thing that indicates my items being traded without my consent tells me the following: too bad shouldn't have traded ur shid away. WTF????

OP, you got phished. You used a site known for troubles with phishing, it's clear how you gave your account credentials away.

Do the steps as posted in the first post. Then stop using 3rd party sites.

You can try looking for all kinds of other reasons why your account got hijacked, but that doesn't change the reality that you got phished. If you don't want to listen to other people and don't want to learn from this, then that is your choice but it is very likely to happen again then.

In the end account security is the responsibility of the account holder.

>I used Skin Baron, but that's a legit site, nobody I know ever got scammed there

Meanwhile, on the forums:

I got scammed on Skin Baron, how do I get my skins back?
friends search for skin baron brings up 6,798 listings
of people using and or promoting that name / site...

Like I had said. I do not visit nor have visited any gambling type sites nor have signed in anywhere shady at all, My skins were sold on the steam marketplace with low price tags mostly to russian users. The only site i've been on was a buying site called Skin Barron where alot of the people in my family and friends who buy skins always buy from there and nobody has been hijacked by there yet. So Its not that I was being dumb and lost my skins to some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gambling site.
Well I'm sorry to say but if that happened you absolutely dfid.

As I already pointed out, EVERYONE swears they didn't do this, but the whole point of the scam is you forget because of how it's doen and the time delays.

There is no other way to phish your details, apart from malware. So you should be assuming you DID do this and act accordingly.

That doesn't mean anything at all.

If you run a scam site, you're not going to go all guns blazing scamming everyone as word gets around.

No, you leave it weeks and select a few choice people from those you have access to - the people least likely to notice.

That's the whole point.

All those numbers you quoted mean is that those people use it, and nobody's put two and two togther yet.
The PEBKAC is strong with this one.

What you must do is listed in the very first reply you got to this thread.

It's your choice:
1) follow that guide and don't repeat the same errors
or
2) ignore what people have been telling you here and get scammed again. '

Read the thread.

The info is already given to you how to resolve this matter.

Note
- YOu will not get back any lost items EVER
- You did this by gigivng your account details away on those scam sites you've been using. Stop thinking any of them are OK. THEY ARE NOT.
- You keep ignoring this then you will continue to keep getting scammed
Valve is pretty clear on that. They don't want you to sell your ♥♥♥♥ on other sites. Valve wants you to use the community market for transactions. If you decide to ignore that you can't expect them to shed a tear over your third-party shopping experience.
