Cannot launch Game - "Missing Executable"

***UPDATE***
I have resolved the issue, it is adhoc; you need someone to send you the launcher folder, including the .exe, to go in your %APPDATA%. You can also get this by installing a different Total War Game. None of the other solutions around this have worked.

Original - "Installed the game yesterday, could not launch it. Verified files, re-installed it clean, updated all graphics drivers and Windows Update, run as administrator, nothing in quarantine / antivirus set.

Still cannot run game, error shows up on launch saying "An error occurred when updating TWWH3, missing executable (total war warhammer 3 launcher.exe) which does not exist in the location specified, but there is an exe for the game, just not called launcher or anything"

Í'm having problems launching the game. I get an error stating that there is a missing executable. I have tried everything in the Steam support section, with no joy. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Had the same issue. If you are trying to play on MacOs its because the game isnt playable yet for MacOS. It'll take till "early spring"

I'm getting the same error on Linux. Does this mean it's not actually supported on Linux despite it claiming Linux support in the store?
Given that it was a gift, is it possible to get a refund?

Missing executable when trying to start

Verified all files, I don't have any anti-virus issues, but it's saying I am missing executable (on a mac) when I try to start the game? and obviously it won't start, anyone else having this issue and if so do you know a workaround/fix?

There is no mac (or linux) release or release date yet. How fun! "Early spring" is the best you get, despite the fact that I'm fairly sure it's already early spring?

I seem to recall it said it was releasing at the same time, I must have read it wrong. Surprised it let me download the wrong one, normally it handles that correctly.

Hi, i have the exact same problem here! Didn´t finde any solution...

I´m currently on a new built PC with Windows 10, RTX3060 and Intel i5 12500.

Update: After reinstalling it for the 3rd time i still have the same issue!
