Switched phone, need to wait 15 days.(SOLVED)
I recently switched phone so I had to remove steam-guard and re-enable steam guard on my new phone, and I have to wait 15 days.
Is there any way for me to bypass this waiting period as my changes were solely my own. It says that I need a verified email and need to be logged in twice using steam guard. I have done that already and I believe my email is verified.

You could always wait 15 days, you know... like it says and like everyone else.

I'm simply wondering whether there's an option for me to bypass this waiting process because what i've read, it seems the market page allows an option to do bypass the waiting period. I'm just trying to figure out how. I can wait, it's just that I want to sell one of my items in order to grab a game that's on a sale. It's not a problem for me to wait, I just want to know if that option is actually available or if I misinterpreted what I've read.

You should have just transferred it to the new phone, as then, there would be no restriction.

"Can I transfer my authenticator to my new phone?"

Yes, you can.

To transfer your authenticator to a new phone, you'll need access to the phone number associated with your account (so we can send you a text message to confirm it's you).

From the Steam Mobile app on your new device, try to log into your account. When the app asks for your authenticator code, select "Please help, I no longer have access to my Mobile Authenticator codes." Follow the steps the app provides and you can either transfer your authenticator to the new device or remove it from the previous device.

After transferring the authenticator, any new trades or market listings will be held for a couple of days to protect your items in case your authenticator is ever transferred by a malicious person. See our Trade Holds FAQ for more information about trade holds.

Mobile Authenticator Removed

Removing a Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator reduces your account security. To help protect your items, you will be unable to trade or use the Community Market for 15 days. In the case your account was compromised, this cooldown gives you time to recover your account and reinstate your security without losing your items.

Important:

Steam Support cannot modify trading or Community Market restrictions, regardless of the circumstances under which your account became restricted.

Restrictions for the security of your account and items would be pointless if they could just be bypassed. That means that the malicious person in such a case could also bypass them, making them pointless.

I see where I went wrong, thanks for clearing it up.

You are welcome. Next time, feel free to ask here if you are unsure about anything related to Steam or in the Steam Mobile forum also. We can try to help you avoid things like this. Thanks, and good luck to you.
