how to bypass game's update?

basically in the microsoft store version, the game will run fine without updates, i just wants to play the game without updating it first and i will update it afterwards just not in time.

inb4: this is the problem i had in Forza horizon 4. basically in the microsoft store version of the game you can still completely play the game even if you haven't updated it. and that's pretty handy because Forza will regularly update the game every month for new seasonal events and prizes to add.. that's sounds good and makes us wants to update and all BUT.. if you don't update the game too quickly that seasonal events and prizes won't added into the game yet being it's technically not installed into the game. and the game has a failsafe with this perticular situation. they made a default events and prizes! so that's mean if you don't update the game you will have a completely different events and prizes that aren't what youre supposed to get in the season. and the kicker is that after you get the ""events that youre not suppose to get"" and you decided to update the game afterwards (so that you will get the current events and the proper prizes) you will still can get the default prizes and that's good because some of the perticular default events has great prizes. (i will mention some: ford crown victoria, ats gt, honda prelude, alien suit, and much more!)

but in the steam version, you cant bypass it and forced to update the game before playing the game you will have to completely skip the default events and thus you won't gonna get them.

Have you posted about this problem in the game forum itself ? You cannot bypass Steam game updates. Some games have workarounds that exist, though. Best way to look for them is ask or search in the game's own forum.

But if it is an online multiplayer game, then the updates should not be able to be bypassed anyway, because to be equal, everyone needs to be on the same version of the game.

You can usually run the exe directly from the game's folder.

forza? no you can play it offline but i guess you have to update the game in order to play, unlike microsoft store version
