It's not "a long ban that if you come to us sweetly and say you're sorry, we'll let you back" ban.
So, no you won't get your privileges back. This is the real world. Permanently breaking an agreement has consequences.
And there's no need for the quotes. You cleealry DID rip people off because Valve work on evidence.
But, I can tell you right now that they are not going to remove it. Perma is permanent.
Valve applied a permanent ban for breaking the rules.
You can try contacting Steam Support, but the answer WILL be that the ban will remain.
You're free to submit a ticket, but you're going to be let down at the end being told the same thing.
No they're the same, but slight different meaning, both play roll to trick someone, both play the roll to deceptive others.
That's literally a scam. You not wanting to name yourself a scammer is irrelevant, it's your actions that have permanent repercussions. No one likes a scammer.
Scamming, stealing, ripping people off, defrauding, or just calling the thing colin the happy squirrel doesn't change the act. You were breaching the terms of the agrement YOU AGREED TO.
And as those terms say, and as you were told at the time it is permanent.
For someone who seems so pedantic about defining the act you did, you have a weird lack of understanding of what permanent means.

you ended up with your tradeban.
And lootboxes are surprise mechanics, right?
Call it what you want, your trade ban is there to stay. Ripping people off has consequences, and frankly, they're too lenient.
