Permanent Trade Ban
Hey guys, this one's kind of a weird one. Back in 2013 when i used to trade people stuff i would "rip people off" to get the better end of the deal, long story short i pissed a lot of people off and they all reported me for scamming, in the end i got perma trade banned. It's been 8 years and i'm still banned. I have no idea how to contact steam support for them to review this situation, and i would be grateful for any help. Thanks

You can't because a permanent ban is a PERMANENT ban, unsurprisingly.

It's not "a long ban that if you come to us sweetly and say you're sorry, we'll let you back" ban.

So, no you won't get your privileges back. This is the real world. Permanently breaking an agreement has consequences.

And there's no need for the quotes. You cleealry DID rip people off because Valve work on evidence.

Google steam support. Open a ticket.

But, I can tell you right now that they are not going to remove it. Perma is permanent.

You broke the rules by ripping people off.

Valve applied a permanent ban for breaking the rules.

You can try contacting Steam Support, but the answer WILL be that the ban will remain.

You knew exactly what you were doing. You don't even seem to be sorry about it.

Permanent, means permanent.

You're free to submit a ticket, but you're going to be let down at the end being told the same thing.

No they're the same, but slight different meaning, both play roll to trick someone, both play the roll to deceptive others.

You literally broke the terms of use, by trading in BAD FAITH to other users.

That's literally a scam. You not wanting to name yourself a scammer is irrelevant, it's your actions that have permanent repercussions. No one likes a scammer.

In this context there is not one iota of difference.

Scamming, stealing, ripping people off, defrauding, or just calling the thing colin the happy squirrel doesn't change the act. You were breaching the terms of the agrement YOU AGREED TO.

And as those terms say, and as you were told at the time it is permanent.

For someone who seems so pedantic about defining the act you did, you have a weird lack of understanding of what permanent means.

What is a trade ban?

A trade ban prevents a Steam account from using the Steam Community, including trading and using the Steam Market. A trade ban can only be applied by a Steam employee. Trade bans are mainly associated with accounts that commit scams.

Same as the people ended up with their bad trade you gave them,
you ended up with your tradeban.

And lootboxes are surprise mechanics, right?

Call it what you want, your trade ban is there to stay. Ripping people off has consequences, and frankly, they're too lenient.
