Keys are permanently bound to your account.
You should have just copied the key from the humblebundle website and give it to the recipient, or via the humblebundle "gift" function (which I assume is still there).
Only GOG and Epic games must be redeemed directly to an account. Humble hasnt' allowed direct redemption to a steam account in like 5 years
First of all you can't redeem the same game twice, steam won't let you. So if you redeemed it twice it was 2 different codes for different content.
Secondly nothing Steam can do, your only hope is to contact Humble and see if they can revoke the key and refund you as its not a steam issue.
Humble both provides an option to mark a purchase as a gift to get a direct link to send to the person you want to give it to and allows you to copy the redeem codes to put wherever you want.
I suggest next time you want to try pulling a sob story about something not being your fault you don't use such a well known and heavily used site as the one you try lying about.
No it doesn't. It creates a link that is used for gifting. It doesn't require the email, and again you can't redeem a game you already own unless it contains new content.
Either way steam can't do anything, only humble can if your lucky
Nothing for you to get support on regarding Steam, though. You redeemed a key on an account, there is nothing one can do about that anymore. Steam support doesn't transfer keys and since you purchased it on a 3rd party site, you can't get a refund either.
But you could copy paste the key if you uncovered it, and send it to your friend in chat.
no, purchasing it there was a field for "this is a gift" which made it "enter recipient's email"
I have not redeemed the code. I had TRIED to send the code in the first place. The CODE is bound to me.
If you bought this and didn't check the bought as a gift(or bought both in a bundle and they didn't differentiate between the two, say) then all you can do is contact their support and ask.
Nothing to do here
Just go to that part of the Humble store and copy the key for your friend on the redeem page.
yeah, how many times do I have to repeat myself? it is BOUND TO ME. I DID NOT REDEEM IT. I got the code, and "bound to thompse412" when I ALREADY TRIED to copy the key to give to my friend.
You're suppose to get a key, which you click reveal, and then you can give that key to your friend. If you smash that REDEEM button, then smash CLAIM button on Steam then you know what you did wrong.
Heck if you wanted to gift the game, you could've done it right from the start as well.

This is how it looks when you click the button for reveal, and then showing green button that you can click afterwards to redeem it if you wanted on Steam account, it will take you to steam website, and input key, and has a check box you have to check, and a button you need to click redeem to add to account.
