so I bought digimon story cyber sleuth on humble for a friend and I because of their flash sale. But since humble wouldn't let me just copy the redeem code to give to her, it's bound to me twice, and I'm having a panic atack because i just want to contact support but they make it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible to contact them and I just flushed that money down the toilet

You do seem to be confuses the message that Humble says with ACTUALLY activating the key.

Have you tried sending the key to your friend and actually getting them to try it? I mean in literal text form?

yes. this is something I already stated, that is what I did in the first place.

Not at all. The text on the Humble page means what I have written. That is not the reason your friend is not able to redeem it. What error message does your friend get, when they try to redeem the code?

As its been repeatedly said its impossible to bind a game to yourself twice on steam. It won't let you.

You admitted to not redeeming code, then claim to send code, but bound to you. You do realize that it not gonna tell your friend who claim the key, it tells you only it already been claim by someone else, not who claim it.

On top of that like said many time, there not auto sync key to account on buy for Steam on humble bundle, as I already explain that above. Post #15

So again you admitted you didn't read, and only reading what you see on humble bundle, page, and not using common sense you didn't copy key, nor click redeem.



In order for you not to be able to redeem key means you never got one period, means humble bundle didn't give you anything at all, so there no way to gift, not claim it to begin with, or that you don't understand there a button you have to click to show key, and can copy, paste it to your friend, or that humble bundle gave you a used key which is rare, hence why said have to take it up with humble bundle in the very start of my post of #15, otherwise, if you smash green button redeem which is only shown after you click show key, and click the check box to agreed to terms of service, and click redeem, that it means you were not thinking, or you knew what you did wrong and redeemed the key.

If you own said content with what on the key beforehand it's impossible to redeem key due to the licensing game, and DLC on Steam as you wouldn't be able to redeem key, it tell you that you already own it, and the key will be unused.

Agreed. There isn't a page on Humble or Steam that says "bound to account X". Nowhere does it state to which account a key is redeemed, not on either site.

That coupled with the fact that you can't one click redeem a key, no matter if it works or fails, from Humble (or Fanatical or whatever keyseller) does show that OP is telling things that are impossible.

I note that not only has the user altered their story, but seem to be avoiding the request for the friend to try the code and report the result here.

THis cannot progress at all until the user steps up and does that.

It's fruitless continuing until then.
