No you don't. The original ticket is still in the same place in line.
Yes you do, it kicked the ticket back to the end of the line, we've been told this by steam staff over the years.
Not true at all.
HOw on earth do you suppose a simple line of tickets gets sentience to look at a ticket and go "aha, duplicate - get to the back of the queue!"
It does NOT do this. It's a common myht on here.
All it does do is just slow things up as you're just adding unnecesary traffic.
And no Steam support and moderators have all said that is nonsense on here quite a number of times.
Source, if you're able to find that? There's a lot of conflicting stuff, even from moderators.
So very wrong...
If you create more than one ticket, it slows the response for everyone. It does NOT put you to the back of the line UNLESS you delete the previous ticket(s).
If you use same password for your email, it's best to change your email password.
Once you have recover your account you change the details back to yours on the account. Then follow these steps, don't skip any.
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
