why am i not getting cards from the game?

i just bought Ryse: Son of Rome
played for 4 hours, not a single card, and when i opened the card system, it was saying that the game was not going to drop any more cards
what? why?

Silicon Vampire is right in that sometimes it can take a weird amount of time to drop that first one.

Also, if you've made any refunds recently this can also extend that time, I believe.

Could also be some sort of weird server issue that is misreporting so keep an eye on it and if it still perisits in a few days, let us know.

I still wouldn't count it out though. Valve aren't forthcoming with how they do their metrics here (or it'd be abused). All I can say is that if you refund it does dealy the earning of cards again. Maybe it chooses one games or from one point?

Doubtful that would happen.

The only errors I've seen here is a game not dropping cards at all, or the wrong amount for some people (Dungeonland). That went on for weeks bfeore they found the cause.

I seriously doubt you can earn cards and not get them as it's server based.
