Couple of articles to get you started but there is no definitive answer as your PC specs can affect how OBS performs.

I use OBS Studio but I also have a Elgato HD60 Pro but I use that for console only.
Personally I record in flv at 1920 1080p at 60fps (less strain on the system) and upload to YouTube which processes it as HD and no have no issues with the quality of the videos.
I can post screenshots of the settings I use if they would be helpful.
oh, my bad brother! im using jus the regular OBS 27.0.1 64 bit windows. and yeah, pics of settings would be great! always worth a shot man.
Screenshots as promised.

Normally use imgbb for images but site currently having issues.
Settings are OBS Studio.
Please note: I record in flv due to smaller file size and uploads are quicker to YouTube.
Based on your specs there should be no reason to have games set at the lowest.
The only thing I is do is have all my games on HDD but I set the "record to" folder for OBS to my SSD as that way the HDD drive activity when playing a game does not interfere with OBS during recording.
yeah my ingame settings at lowest, that is because i play most games competitively. its best for visuals and clarity, and the higher the fps the better. but yeah so having all my settings on low means i dont have too much gpu usage so there should be heaps of room for OBS to use some to record, but as soon as i hit that record button my game then doesnt feel as smooth n it feels as though i have slight input lag and its noticeable. also the recording comes out not looking the greatest. doesnt look so smooth and it kind of looks like 50 fps, even though my OBS settings are set to 60 fps and 1440p
ah! thanks for the explanation, makes sense as to why lowest settings.
