Community Tab
Is there a way to completely remove this tab from the toolbar?

No, I just don't care to view the community hub since its filled with garbage. I already disabled it from showing on my library, I'm wondering If its possible to do it to the toolbar.

While I'm all for options and such, I doubt in this case you'll be listened to, because while it's true - you can look at the community stuff and see stuff that is uninteresting, dull, useless or whatever, you CAN see good stuff and stuff that is important.

I've found stuff pop up there that have notified me of problems up front, saving me time and hassle.

And for that reason alone, I doubt it'd be a thing of merit to hide.

Should be possible with deleting/modify related entries from "uinavigatorpanel.layout" and "steam.styles" files - label_community / CParentalUINavButton / CSteamRootDialog. Check the VGUI Debugger in Steam to find related values.

AFAIK you can disable the community for your accountwith Steam family view.
But it's IMHO easier to just ignore stuff you don't care about.

You can do this by creating a skin. Otherwise steam will reset these files.

Yes, you're right. Not to forget to mention to create a steam.cfg which is responbsible for this behaviour (depends where you make changes of course)... Run Steam in devmode to reach the debugger window and so on. For someone who never worked with skins or modifications some things may be unclear and it's no guide here, just few hints. Anyone who is interested or wants to change something is also able to find more info ;]

Steam top left>settings>Library>Low Bandwidth Mode>Reduces bandwidth use by disabling the features like auto load of community content.<< tick that and ok it.
It removed the community stuff in my library in the center of each game Activity.
all I see there now is my friends stuff.
The community Hub is still accessable uner the Artwork.
Or use the bland Small mode access it> View at the top.
