How can i trade or sell my old game/now to my frend?

i have a friend that has the game rust he dos not play it anymore and wants to give it to me he and me cant find any info that helps for sending. yes family sher works but we both play regely and sometime the same time and it kick me out and thers a hole list of stuff why we dont want to buy a another copy so if we can get help that wode be nice

The answer is no and will stay that way.

Per the Steam Subscriber Agreement, Steam game subscriptions / CD keys are nontransferable and cannot be reset / moved between Steam accounts.

Digital licenses, are not tradeable, transferable, nor can they be resold, not much can be said, if you wanted games you can trade, or resell, you should've just stick to console, and only buy physical disc copies.

SSA and terms of agreement do state that licenses are not transferable. No different then if you had a digital game on Xbox, PSN, or a movie on amazon for instance. None of those can be transfered.

It doesn't work like this at all.

What you buy is NOT a physical game where you can sell it on. What you buy is a digital LICENCE to use the game. This is standard across ALL digital software.

It means that when you buy said licence, that licence gets permanently bound to your PERSONAL account forever. It cannot be transferred because it is your PERSONAL right to use it.

And that's why it can't be transferred. You CANNOT pass on that right to another user.
