My Steam Keeps Freezing when Open
Whenever I open steam on not safe mode and networking my computer freezes and doesn't appear in the task manager. Than I have to force shut down my pc with the power button. I uninstalled qbitturrent malwarebytes ccleaner and much more but still doesn't appear to be working on non safe mode. I've tried turning off windows security protection and firewall but still doesn't appear to be working.

I tried disabling AMD External Events Utility, and Wondershare. Then restarting my pc and trying to load steam but still the same issue happens.

I see in your task manager, that CCleaner64 is there even though it is disabled. If you uninstalled CCleaner, why is that appearing there even so being disabled ?

Malwarebytes should not be an issue. In fact, I would suggest you do a scan of your PC just in case this could be malware related. That should also be ruled out.

Unless you did that already. Malwarebytes is best used in safe mode, and with all scan options enabled.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing, it shouldn't be there I only see it there at the moment in fact.

I'll install malwarebytes again and try the full scan in safe mode with all the options enabled.

Yes, please have a look into those. Take your time.

Meanwhile, I will post this for you to do next as one of my suggestions.

Make sure Steam is set to not run automatically on boot. If you can't run Steam to do this in Steam settings, then temporarily do it from msconfig.

Then, when you are in a normal boot of Windows, run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt.

Post exactly what the scan reports, after it is finished.

This is more explained here :

Scroll down a bit and you can see the example window and the steps.

Take your time. I will be around. If not me, then someone else might post suggestions for you to also try. It might take a few steps to get there, but hopefully we can get you sorted out at some point.

I tried the scan and it said this. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
I have the sfclogs.txt when i first did it and it said it repaired Repairing file \??

\C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\\OneDrive.lnk from store

Then it repaired it

That's good. Then the OS is in good shape. Sometimes, doing forced shutdowns can cause issues with the OS.

Next, I would like to know what the make and model of the PC you have is.

Post the exact computer that you have, or a link to it or where you purchased it. If it is custom built, post the exact motherboard.

Then do this :

Go to Help in the top of Steam in safe mode with networking. Then "system information". Right click in the new window, select all, then copy and paste all of that here, please. I am attempting to cover just some basics here that might or might not be related to the problem, but we should cover them to try to make sure.

Looks like you had a bit of software that has been known to cause issues with Steam, but you removed some of it. Let's try to be sure that there is not more that is left. If Steam works in safe mode with networking, but not in a regular boot of Windows, it seems there might be more left.

1. Take screenshots of all of the programs you have installed on your computer. Control panel then programs/programs and features. (Windows 7,8,8.1) or "apps" (Windows 10 click "Start" (Windows icon on bottom left))

2. Click Windows Start and type in msconfig and run that resulting process. Go to the services tab and check the box on bottom "Hide all Microsoft services". Take screenshots of all that is left.

3. Then go to the startup tab on top of that same window (Task Manager in W10). Expand the header on the left so we can best see the process name (small window, so do the best you can). Take screenshots of all that there also. Don't forget to scroll down if needed and get everything in the shots, please.

Post all the links to the above screenshots here, using a file hosting site such as imgur.com, which is free to use.
