Trying to get a refund on Cyberpunk 2077
I've played 4 hours, and had it for longer than 14 days- been out of town so only just started playing for real. Getting crashes every 2-10 minutes for no decipherable reason so I just requested a refund as suggested from other forums. Steam says that it will still be considered when I was looking at requesting it, but in others experiences, am I likely to get a refund of the game?

i played ~ 40 hours, i had only 3 or 4 crashes before saving my progress, but devs fixed this "bug", all other things were great. if you have more than 2 hours, you will not get any refund,

may i ask, whats your pc specs? great Cyberpunk 2077 performance / experience = great pc specs.

talking about refund:

2. press "It's not what I expected" -> "I'd like to request a refund"

or

1. go to https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithPurchase
2. find Cyberpunk 2077
3. press "I have a question about this purchase"
4. write your situation

yeah totally my pc specs are:

GPU: Geforce RTX 2060
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
with 16 GB of RAM
I don't really mess with overclocking if that would contribute to anything.

Are you running at 1080p or something higher because that's more than enough for 1080 with good settings.

1. i answered about refund
2. if you asking about crashes you should use https://steamcommunity.com/app/1091500/discussions/ or r/cyberpunkgame , i am pretty sure you will find many threads how to fix it. your pc should not have any problems with any game

Yeah press them for a refund op, your game experience is not going to improve even if you get it to run, its just not worth 60 dollars. Refund now and buy it once they fix it and/or it goes on sale.

Update: Steam got back to me with a scripted "You have played over 2 hours so we cannot give you a refund." Not going to draw this out and contest it, even though I am tempted lol, but thanks to everyone who responded to this forum, you were all very helpful!

Ah I think you misunderstand how this works then.

There are TWO levels of refund. The first is the GUARANTEED or rather AUTOMATED refund (which you've just tried to go through). This is simply a bot that checks you're within 14 days and the 2 hour limit and your account is in good standing. If those tick, then you get your refund.

BUt if, like yourself, you are on the line, or have extenuating circumstances, then there is the DISCRETIONARY refund. You respond back with "I have a question about this game" option, and ask them to review your claim stating why.

Then an actual human will review it.


So, you've only got halfway yet.
