if you crash that much , how come you think it wont do same in FNV. same pc , same problem.
im not kidding you same game engine , only diffrence among them is GFWL.

if you dont master they fiddle and configuration and hot fix , and mod issue , and have best optimized pc, then you might want to find a game thats build for win10.

I mean every Fallout and Betehesda game crashes every 5 minutes. you're not gonna escape that by going to a different pat of the franchise

Bethesda is know what have a good optimized pc , if you dont you will run into game problem down the road.

im not saying they are that company that push the edge alone, but they are up there at dont have a bottleneck pc. thats my point here.

and many do that mistake not read pinned down threads , and get into trouble.
they have done this sense morrowind. ( but maybe its more users that has issue ) because if you notice, they dont care, then it work for so many others, if that is not a clue, i dont know what is.

I installed Fallout 3 a few days ago. Including one fan patch from Nexus for bugs and a small dll file for its Games for Windows Live problems.
Played 11 hours so far and had a single crash in that time. And that was on a loading screen between 2 zones.
Its definitely not as crash prone as many people think.

no but thats my point as i recall you was a skill person with IT, and yet noone here know if you do have a update pc and NO we are not talking about windows update.

im not here to defend Bethesda, but it is funny they have done this over 20 years, and they keep doing it.

If the game crashes every 5th minute or more its more likely your system that is the major problem.

exatly why we debat this, you need a optimized OS and funny enough fresh install OS with no issue seem to go along way, but you still need to have game requirements and if you dont have recommend , that can give issue , if you throw in mods.
New vegas ran very fine. Even on a cpu grafic.

Morrowind,Oblivion,Skyrim or SE

F3, FNV F4

cant say they all have same issue, but if you cant get old games to work on win10. thats should be a clue , and if you took all those games, i bet you will get many angry people , but how come many other dont have them issue. ( i know its not fair. but if that is not experience in know better or did the right fixes i dont know what will. )

you might want to buy FNV , but you should go back and recheck every F3 and check for updates.

try Iobit driver boost, if that can find opdates , and i bet it can, dont feel bad then it can it just point out what does rest of the world know then app can find update to my pc. ( i can only hope you dont get more trouble with driver opdates, and do watchout for OC pc. many take it for granted and same can be said dont brake 60hz rule on old games, that are know in skyrim as brake scripts. ( this is my point you need to know Bethesda ways and games and its setup

For me, New Vegas was always more stable than Fallout 3, but there are ways to make the games less likely to crash, as you have to do some tweaking, as some here said.

The store page even says F3 is not optimized for anything Windows 7 and later.

I have not read the NV store page, but I don't remember seeing that message there.

EDIT...Nope, just checked. It's not there.

That’s good to hear. I think it probably is my computer that’s the issue and windows 10 for fallout 3. Last time I remember playing it properly was on an old ass windows 7 pc. I’ll get it, and refund it if needed. And I’ll try all the patches I can if it is bad.

It also needs some significant tweaking.
Fallout 4 is amazingly stable.

And Fallout New Vegas is extremely stable as well.
Then again, I was never the biggest fan of New Vegas.

That being said, Fallout 3 even on Windows 7+ will not crash every five minutes without something being seriously wrong on your end.
Even with mods, Fallout 3 for me does not like crashing except ever 40 minutes or so. :P

Tale of Two Wastelands mod lets you play Fallout 3 in the New Vegas engine, which may let you salvage that purchase. It ran/runs much more stable for me there.

I’ll check it out
