Games aren't counting up ( Game Collector Badge)
Today i got a steam key for a game worth 0.80$ but my badge isn't saying i got my 5th game...
It's still on 4 games? Anyone knows why?

As MancSoulja rightly points out, there are exceptions, ESPECIALLY if you're buying some of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dirt cheap non-game asset flips that tarnish the store (or used to).

Games get removed from sale, so if you enter a key for one, you'll get the game to play, but it ain't going to count.

But lastly, I wouldn't rely on that counter anyway as it isn't precise. It can be bugged.

Currently I've got around 1100 or so games. I've no idea what the ACTUAL number is, but when I came back in February after a few years absence, I had 836 games. I know this because I keep a full inventory of everything I buy for insurance reasons.

And yet my count would show 18 less than that. It had been like that for ages - a few off.

I've no idea why it misses some off, and I've never bothered to go through each game to see at the time.

Just know it is unreliable, so buying crappy games just for this purpose isn't a good idea.

If the game is new or has been removed from the Store because Valve has ended their relationship with the developer it won't count.

What was the game you redeemed?

There are many games that don't count towards the badge regardless if you "paid" for them or not.

1. Free2Play games don't count. Unless you paid to make it a premium license.

2. Games removed by Valve don't count. If you purchase a game that counts, removed games will update the count to reflect this..

3. There are also games that are in the "Learning" phase...

4. And also games with "Profile Features Limited..."

Wide Cross, Laserium and Battle Simulator are all #4.
