Hey guys, my brother wants to gift me a game however he lives in another country. How do I use his card to do this, knowing the billing address is attached to my country? Thank you!

First off, you don't You cannot use another person's card, as that is illegal.

What you should do is get them to buy you a steam gift card and send that to you.

There is no other way round this as the rules were changed recently because people were abusing the system.

I think just use his card on your steam, but show different billing address. Haven't been in such as situation, but just try buy game with his card.
Good luck.

If he's in a idfferent country, he can't do that.

The account's registered address MUST match that of their payment.

Thanks! I will. Would this work across countries though or are steam gifts region locked? Both countries are set in $.

Pay careful attention to what I wrote.

He said nothing about mum's credit card.

You CAN have a named child or whatever as an addition on any credit card in certain countries, that's perfectly normal.

But you CANNOT use another person's card. That is illegal. Doesn't matter that many people do this.

In any case, you can't do it here anyway. It won't allow it as it's a different country.

It actually triggers a fraud restriction for mismatched billing info. And can also be blocked by the card issuer and will forever be banned from use on Steam.
