sure they are many other things like full performance but again the spec here matter most desktop work fine in Balance mode, but even a decad old desktop will run abit better in full performance, but lets not kidding ourself here, we cant fix a outdate pc. and laptop is even worse in balance mode, sure you will hear other tech say work fine in balance mode, but to my knowledge sooner or later laptop is not fast enough for newest game requirement, and things just crash to as you have a odd out of game task, but if you task out of a multiplayer game and it cant keep up , then crap like that could happend. ( most of the time its app crash not network unless MPgame says you have DC and try terminate the line to you, even that make sense. )
so all this still ends up as pc stuggle with resources, all this is simple enough to understand , but still require user have skill enough to understand whats i explan and can see logic in it.
dont forget you told nothing,( same as try play game on laptop in battery mode, even that will trigger no resources to pc and it stuggle with it. ) i doubt this is the case but why not.
do note with no info you open up for alot of user own mistake.
you could have world grestest to worst pc. and still with wrong option selected and get issue like this.
seen many odd post or things that dont add up with a game performance. or i will call a game pc, even a 10 year old game pc can be better then a server with bottlenecks. again we are over in lack of pc spec.
you know what, deal with your problem yourself contact own pc support , have a nice day.
And the best way forward is to bring up Task Manger, leave it open, and note the usage stats in percentage on all things - CPU, RAM, graphics card, disc drive and so on.
Then start your game, let it run then alt-Tab and immediately go to the task manager you left open. Note if ANYTHING is spiked at or near 100% and report back.
ANYTHING using 100% disk will slow your system down badly as everything keeps stopping to catch up.
Please do some more testing and see if you can narrow it down more - like what sorts of things you are doing when it's worst and so on.
