The following game is an amazing game released in 1998 that was way beyond it's time:

I've run it on several ancient laptops and desktops that were similar or less capable than your craptop. The thing is....it's not the easiest game to play. If you do give it a try be sure to do the tutorials and be prepared for it to take a very long time to get good at it. It's not a game you can jump in and mess around aimlessly with like it seems most people do in the other games you mentioned. It's very goal / mission based. Awesome game if you can manage tolerating a bit of a learning curve and getting your butt handed to you often.
Increase your vram to at least 256mb nya
then nya away with some games.
beware that it will use your system ram, so it means your total ram will be lowered by 256mb
not to mention Windows 10 is RAM hungry. it may eat 4GB, idk.
e.e; uh.... you may want to consider installing a low end version of linux so you can avoid windows ram hungriness.
Steam supports linux. (steam requires 500mb ram)
If you lack of ram some of your SSD/HDD gets used as RAM which will destroy your disk more quickly, but uh... yeah.
make sure you tone everything down, make steam use as minimum of minimum things and you can game away with some things.
