Keyboard not registering every keystroke

When i try to message someone my keyboard won't register keystrokes properly. When im in game, my keyboard works just fine and it doesn't have this issue anywhere else. Any suggestions/solutions

That is odd...if you experienced this while gaming I would have thought that you were experiencing keyboard "ghosting" where the keyboard doesn't recognize some button presses if you press too many at once, but...

What happens if you try to type into some other application, such as Notepad?

Could be a faulty keyboard. Or some sort of faulty device, usb, or usb hub that's messing with things. You may not notice the issue in game, because gameplay ends up being a bit different than typing. So there's a possibility it is occurring in game but is not as noticeable.

I'd try unplugging all the other usb devices, and/or trying another usb port, and/or trying another keyboard. In this case some basic troubleshooting probably can't be avoided.

1. This doesnt happen anywhere else, i can type here, on notepad, on discord and everywhere normally.

2. Checked my keyboards keys on a website and everything was working.

3. tried to unplug everything from my pc and restarted it, didn't help.

Super odd since this started happening just today and hasnt been a problem before.

Dose the chat window seem to "lag" a little maybe? maybe its just missing the key presses if for some reason its "slow"

Here 4 years later to say I am having this exact issue. Have swapped out a different keyboard and the problem persists.
