And yes, the exploit was patched.
You don't get bans from Spacewar. It is irrelevant to this discussion.
Only pirated content. Tangent over.
Simple rule of thumb for here - ignore the idiots. They will love to drag you into arguments and all that results in is you both getting actioned.
As you already have this game ban that bothers you, that's d be silly, wouldn;t it?
There's a mantra here that covers so many situations - REPORT, BLOCK, MOVE ON.
It makes me lose faith in humanity when someone judges you by something not written by you on your profile.
Had another experience some time ago where I was discussing about some mods on monster hunter world (just to let you know, it's a big part of the game, not something that the developers are against) and a guy comes out of the blue with "this guy's opinion is irrelevant, he has a game ban", like, what the duck is that supposed to mean?
Again, simples - report, block, move on.
YOu can't fix EVERYONE in humanity. You WILL get idiots who can't use logic, are dishonest or stupid and so on. The trick is to ignore them. It's clearly a THEM problemm, if they make strawmanning arguments like that (CLAIMS ALWAYS STAND ON THEIR OWN MERITS, doesn't matter who says them).
So don't even offer them a minute of your time or patience.
And besides, here's the real kicker - why do you NEED to convince people like that anyway? The fact remains that those who will logically recognise it's irrelevant and judge you on how you communicate and play in a game currently, will be thos ones who are worthy of your time.
So you can treatit as a positive even - it filters out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like that.
Also not true. DISCUSSING game piracy on the forums can get your community rights revoked/banned. Not the Steam account.
There has not been a single case since Steam existed that someone got his account banned for playing pirated games.
Account suspensions/bans are 99.99% of the time payment related, mostly fraud ( buying with stolen credit cards and such) or making illegitimate charge backs.
