im not support and this is a user forum here.
but dont think you can help him with reporting things for him, okay on hes account and pc as him then you can.
cant say its relevant to you ( friend ) Ruleout you are on windows7 that could be a good idea , if you bother read the other post.
he need to report it on hes account in hes name as him, feel free to help him.
he most not have windows 7 that the newest issue with can't see friend-only, its a secure tunnel to a server that dont work well with outdate previous OS not support anymore.
I've seen at least three other reports stating the same as you in the last week, so I would suspect it's the same for you.
yeap tunnel my here and there , we have no clue whats in the other end or though a server as gateway,
try to explan even a app did it, im on win10 that dont mean a thing then backdoor has outdate certificate incrypt that tunnel need, how the hell do you explan that to ppl.
and thats why privat server to whatever unknown uni linux server or other things you dont controll as own router and isp into steam can be a issue.
worst is we dont get told unless you have them system or inside access.
Posting a public mod with a dependency mod link for the "friends only" mod seems to work as it will open a window directly to the missing mod allowing subscription.
I am on windows 7. I can upload mods to my workshop
I can see them.
My friend is on MS Malware 10. He can upload his mods to his workshop
He can see them.
He cannot see mine, and I cannot see his.
That's two separate machines, one on 7, the other on 10, both have the same problem.
Having spoken to steam support and received several responses from different members of their team the final one was : "working as intended" friends should not be able to see or search for 'friends only' items but should have access to them if provided with a direct link - this would suggest that they have shifted the focus from a bugged workshop to an incorrect tooltip and feature description.
I'm on win10 OS and my friends are on a mixture, non of which can currently see more than the 'public' marked ones even though some could at some point as they have subscribed previously.
